1.     GENERAL
 
1.1    OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
 
       THE BULK WILL BE DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED TO BE
SUITABLE FOR TRANSPORTING CEMENT ONLY BY ROAD,
       RAIL AND SEA (ABOVE OR BELOW DECK) AND BE ABLE TO
       WITHSTAND THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY
       THESE MODES OF TRANSPORT.
      
       IT WILL BE BUILT TO WITHSTAND EXTREMES OF TEMPERATURE
  BETWEEN -40C (-40?) AND 70C (158?) WITHOUT ANY EFFECT
  ON ITS STRENGTH.

  THE BULK WILL COMPLY WITH THE LATEST EDITIONS OF

3.4    BASE STRUCTURES
 
  THE BASE STRUCTURE WILL BE CONSIST OF TWO (2) SIDE
  RAILS, FOURTEEN (14) CROSS MEMBERS, ONE (1) PAIR OF FORKLIFT POCKET AND TWO (2) END RAILS, WHICH WILL BE WELDED TOGETHER AS A SUB-ASSEMBLY. ONE END HAS A 45   DEGREE INCLINED PLANE AND ANOTHER END HAS A AIR PLENUM DISCHARGE DEVICE.
 
3.4.1   EACH BOTTOM SIDE RAIL WILL BE MADE WITH TWO(2) PIECES
OF PRESSED "C" SECTION STEEL OF WHICH SIZE IS 60X305 x 30
x 4.5t AND CONNECTION AREA WILL BE REINFORCED WITH
6.0t GUSSET PLATE. 
 
3.4.2 CROSS MEMBERS WILL BE OF PRESSED ¡°L¡± OR ¡°C¡± SECTION

3.4.6.  AIR PLENUM IS OF A OPEN BOX SECTION WITH EXPANDED METAL AND MAT, TWO (2) 3¡± INLET TUBES ON BOTTOM OF THE PLENUM
       AND ONE (1) 8¡± OUTLET DISCHARGE TUBE ON TOP OF THE PLENUM CONTROLED BY A BUTTERFLY VALVE. ALL MALE THREAD CONNECTION WILL BE SEALED BY CAMLOCKS.
 
3.5. FRONT END FRAME
       FRONT FRAME WILL BE CONSIST OF TWO (2) CORNER POSTS,
       ONE (1) TOP RAIL AND ONE(1) BOTTOM RAIL AND TWO (2)
WELDED 2MM PANELS, WHICH WILL BE WELDED TOGETHER AS
A SUB- ASSEMBLY.
 
3.5.1. CORNER POST WILL BE MADE OF OPEN ¡°L¡± SHAPED PRESSING
IN 6MM THICKNESS. AND COVERED BY INNER POST OF 4.0t.
 
3.5.2. FRONT HEADER IS OF 60x60x3.0t SQUARE HOLLOW SECTION
TUBE TO BE WELDED TO TOP CASTINGS AND PANELS. EXTERNAL
       SEAM BETWEEN LOWER AND UPPER IS CONTINUOUSLY WELDED
       AND INTERNAL SEAM IS TO BE STITCH WELDED AND CAULKED
       WITH SEALANT BETWEEN WELDING BEADS.
 
3.5.2.  FRONT SILL WILL BE OF ROUND TUBE IN SIZE OF OD127X8.0t.
 
3.5.3. FRONT END PANEL HAS 2 PCS OF 2.0MM TRAPEZIUM SECTION CORRUGATED 45MM DEPTH 18-110-18 PITCH SHEET, WHICH WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY WELDED EXTERNALLY TO END FRAME. A LADDER STEP WILL BE WELDED IN BETWEEN POST AND PANEL CORRUGATIONS USING 12MM ROUND BARS.
 
3.6.    REAR END FRAME
       REAR END FRAME WILL BE CONSIST OF TWO (2) CORNER POSTS,
       ONE (1) TOP RAIL AND ONE(1) BOTTOM RAIL AND TWO (2)
WELDED 2MM PANELS, WHICH WILL BE WELDED TOGETHER AS
A SUB- ASSEMBLY.
 
3.6.1. CORNER POST WILL BE MADE OF OPEN ¡°L¡± SHAPED PRESSING
IN 6MM THICKNESS, AND COVERED BY INNER POST OF 4.0t.
 
3.6.2. FRONT HEADER IS OF 60x60x3.0t SQUARE HOLLOW SECTION
TUBE TO BE WELDED TOP CASTINGS AND PANELS. EXTERNAL
       SEAM BETWEEN LOWER AND UPPER IS CONTINUOUSLY WELDED
       AND INTERNAL SEAM IS TO BE STITCH WELDED AND CAULKED

3.7. SIDE
       SIDE WALL HAS ONE (1) TOP SIDE RAIL AND FIVE (5) SIDE PANELS, WHICH WILL WELDED TOGERTHER AS A SUB-ASSEMBLY.
 
3.7.1. TOP SIDE RAIL IS SQUARE TUBE WITH PROFILE OF 60X60X3.0t,
IT WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY TO ROOF AND END FRAMES.
 
3.7.2. PANELS ARE MADE OF FIVE (5) 2.0MM CORRUGATED SHEET WITH 36MM DEPTH AND 68-72-68 PITCH.
 
3.7.3. THERE IS A ELBOW VENT ON TOP RIGHT CORNER, WHICH HAS A OPEN BOX STRUCTURE, AND 4¡± MALE THREAD WITH CAMLOCK IN END.

3.8. ROOF

ROOF CONSISTS OF THREE (3) SQUARE HATCH COVERS, AND FIVE PANELS OF 20MM DEPTH CORRUGATED.
 
3.8.1. ROOF IS 2MM PANELS WITH ROUND END CORRUGATION
 
3.8.2. ROOF HATCH WILL BE MADE OF SQUARE COVER 640X590MM  SIT ON SQUARE COMBING,TO BE SEALED BY BUTTERFL NETS. 
 
3.8.3. THERE IS A VERTICAL LADDER ON FLOOR TO CENTRAL  HATCH , IT IS MADE OF 50x8.0 FLAT BAR &25X25.S.Q. STEEL
 
3.8.4. THERE ARE TWO (2) PIPE VENT ON ROOF SIT ON HEADERS  IN 4¡¯ ID WITH FEMALE COVERS.
 
3.9.  SPECIAL FEACHERS
 
THERE IS A SPECIAL REINFORCEMENT ARRANGED INSIDE OF BULK, WHICH CONSISTS OF SIXTEEN (16) TUBES IN 3¡± (70 OD x 3.5t), IN BETWEEN SIDE TO SIDE, FRONT TO SIDE AND REAR TO SIDE. TUBES WILL BE WELDED TO PAD (280x200x6.0T), AND PAD SITS ON PANELS.
 
4.     SURFACE PROTECTION
 
4.1    SURFACE PREPARATION
       ALL STEEL SURFACES WILL BE SHOT BLASTED TO SWEDISH
   STANDARD SA 2.5 PRIOR TO PRIMER COATING.
       THE SURFACES WILL BE FREE FROM OIL, RUST, DIRT, MILL
       SCALES AND OTHER FOREIGN MATERIALS. ALL THE WELDED
       AREA WILL BE THROUGHLY CLEANED AND DESCALED BY
       EITHER CHEMICAL TREATMENT OR SHOT BLASTING.
 
4.2    PAINT SYSTEM
     THE BULK WILL BE COATED WITH 3 COATING SYSTEM AND 2 COATING SYSTEM INTERIOR..
 
4.2.1   PRIMER
       ZINC RICH EPOXY PRIMER
 
4.2.2   TOP PAINT
       CHLORINATED RUBBER HIGH-BUILD PAINT
 
4.3    PRIMING
 
4.3.1   BEFORE ASSEMBLING, ALL THE STEEL SURFACES WILL BE
   SHOT-BLASTED TO SWEDISH STANDARD SA 2.5 AND THEN
   PRIMED TO 15 MICRONS (DFT).
 
4.3.2   AFTER ASSEMBLING, ALL WELDS WILL BE SHOT-BLASTED TO
   REMOVE ALL WELDING FLUX, SPATTERS AND OTHER FOREIGN
   MATERIALS. AFTER ASSEMBLY, ALL SURFACES OF BULK
   WILL BE PRIMED TO AVERAGE 30 MICRONS (DFT) IN TOTAL.
 
4.3.3   THE BULK EXCEPT INSIDE OF FORKLIFT POCKET
       WILL BE COATED WITH ABOVE MENTIONED TOP COAT
AFTER PRIMER COAT. THE TOTAL DFT OF OUTSIDE INCLUDING
BASE WILL BE 120 MICRONS AND 80 MICRONS FOR INSIDE.
ONLY 30 MICRONS OF ZINC PRIMER SHALL BE APPILED
FOR THE INSIDE OF FORKLIFT POCKET.
 
4.4    UNDERCOATING
   THERE IS NO UNDERSEAL ON BOTTOM BASE OF BULK.
 
5.     MARKING
 
5.1    GENERAL
 
     MARKINGS WILL BE APPLIED AFTER PAINT IS FULLY CURED IN
     ACCORDANCE WITH ISO, CSC AND OWNER'S SPECIFICATION.
 
5.2    LETTERING
    
     LETTERING AND NUMBERS WILL BE OF CAST VINYL FILM WITH
     APPROPRIATE ADHESIVE QUALITY, HAVING SEVEN (7) YEARS
     LIFE.
 
5.3    CONSOLIDATED DATA PLATE
  
   IT WILL CONTAIN THE INFORMATION OF OWNER ADDRESS AND
   CSC. IT WILL BE MADE OF CHEMICALLY ETCHED AND
   ENAMELED 18-8 STAINLESS STEEL OF 0.6 MM THICKNESS AND
   PERMANENTLY RIVETTED TO THE SPECIFIED PLACE WITH
   STAINLESS STEEL RIVET AND SEALED WITH SEALANT.
 
6.     TESTING AND INSPECTION
 
6.1    PROTOTYPE PLATFORM
 
     A PROTOTYPE BIN WILL BE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY
     B.V.

       FOR DIMENSION AND INSPECTED AND IDENTIFIED BY BV.
 
7.     DOCUMENTATION
 
7.1    DRAWINGS
       THREE (3) COMPLETE SETS OF PRODUCTION DRAWINGS
       INCLUDING GENERAL ARRANGEMENT AND MARKING
       ARRANGEMENT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO OWNER PRIOR TO
       PRODUCTION.
 
7.2    CERTIFICATE
       THE CERTIFICATES OF CLASSIFICATION SOCIETY
WILL BE SUBMITTED TO OWNER WITHIN TWO WEEKS
       AFTER COMPLETION OF PRODUCTION.
 
7.3    TEST REPORT
  ONE COMPLETE SET OF PROTOTYPE TEST REPORT AND
  CERTIFICATE APPROVED BY BV WILL BE SUBMITTED TO
OWNER WITHIN TWO WEEKS AFTER TEST.
 
8.     WARRANTY
       THE WARRANTY PERIOD WILL COMMENCE FROM THE DATE
       OF ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE IS ISSUED BY B.V.
  
8.1    PAINT GUARANTEE
       THE APPLICATION OF PAINT WILL BE GUARANTEED AGAINST
       CORROSION AND PAINT FAILURE FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3)
       YEARS.
  THE GUARANTEE COVERS ALL FAULTS AFFECTION MORE THAN
  10 % OF THE PAINTED SURFACES AND WILL ASSURE PARTIAL
  OR TOTAL REPAINTING OF THE BANK. NORMAL WEAR/
  TEAR, CORROSION CAUSED BY ACID, ALKALI OR RESULTS OF
  DAMAGES BY ABRASION, IMPACT OR ACCIDENT ARE
  EXCLUDED.
  
8.2    OTHER GUARANTEE
 
       THE PLATFORM WILL BE GUARANTEED AGAINST DEFECTS OR
       OMISSIONS IN CONSTRUCTIONS, WORKMANSHIP AND
       MATERIALS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR AND SEVEN (7)
       YEARS FOR DECALS.
  IN THE EVENT OF THE DEFECTS, HUAXI (TEDA) TRADE &
  TRANSPORTATION CO., LTD. WILL REPLACE, CORRECT AND
  INSTALL TO MAKE THE PLATFORM SATISFACTORY AT ITS
  EXPENSE. ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY MIS-HANDLING,
MIS- SECURING, MIS-LOADING, IMPACT AND ANY OTHER
NATURES OF ACCIDENTS SHALL BE EXCLUDED.
